The aim of our Master Origin range was simple - to allow you to discover outstanding examples of coffee craftsmanship from across the world.
So we searched for some of the finest coffee craftsmen. Then we worked with them to refine their crafts, trying new techniques and pushing boundaries.
It took us years to create such perfectly-crafted coffees. Your journey of discovery should be somewhat quicker.

Indonesia
This is a fairtrade coffee.Crafted in the jungle mists of northern Sumatra by farmers who have perfected the art of wet-hulling. An unmistakably exotic coffee with a rich, velvety body and wild, woody notes.
Ethiopia
Expertly dried in the African heat with the coffee bean still inside its cherry, to absorb the sweet flavours from its fruit. Discover bright notes of fruit jam and orange blossom flowers.
Colombia
Left to ripen on the branch much longer, then individually handpicked on the day when it’s perfectly ready. A classic late harvest coffee with vibrant winey notes of red fruits and berries.
India
Meticulously exposed to the wet monsoon winds and fierce Indian heat to cultivate a robust, powerful character. Brace yourself for an intense, aromatic cup with an array of spicy, woody notes.
Nicaragua
Carefully turned in the Nicaraguan sunshine to soak up the natural sugars of its fruit. A beautifully balanced black honey coffee, with a smooth, satiny texture and sweet, cereal flavours.

In northern Sumatra, local farmers have perfected the art of wet-hulling in response to the unusually humid climate, creating an incredibly distinct coffee.
To create our own standard, we chose a prime Arabica growing region and helped set up a cooperative of farmers to preserve the high quality of the beans. The result? A rich woody coffee that couldn't be more exotic if it tried.
Ethiopia
Flowery and Bright - Intensity 4
The unusually hot climate of western Ethiopia has allowed our partner farmers to perfect theart of dry-processing their coffee.
After harvesting, they carefully dry the whole cherries in the African sun for weeks, to let the beans inside absorb the sweet, ripe flavours from the fruit. To tell when the coffee has acquired the perfect amount of bright, fruity notes takes years of experience. Or just one sip.
Colombia
Fruity and Vibrant - Intensity 6
To create something truly distinct, we introduced the late-harvest technique to our most trusted partner farmers in Colombia.
The coffee cherries are left to ripen much longer, then individually handpicked on the perfect day, but not a day too late. It’s a very risky process, but the brighter, fruitier notes make it very rewarding.
India
Intense and spicy - Intensity 11
If you’ve never experienced the monsoon winds, our Indian partners have captured every bit of their power and intensity.
Carefully exposing our coffee to the raging wet winds and fierce Indian heat for months cultivates a strong, powerful character - as well as requiring one. And to create a more complex, spicy profile, we chose to use a local Robusta coffee instead of the usual Arabica.
Nicaragua
Sweet and Harmonious - Intensity 5
High in the foothills of western Nicaragua, our black honey coffee is carefully turned in the sun for weeks to soak up the sweet natural sugars of its fruit.
This rare technique requires meticulous care and attention, so we were just as careful in choosing our partners when we helped reintroduce it to the region. Discover the full story here.

- Then, pour cold milk (100ml) into the jug up to the minimum level marking
